I am a member of the Australian Research Council (ARC) Training Centre for the Global Hydrogen Economy (GlobH2E) as a Postdoctoral Researcher.

I started my PhD program at the University of Newcastle in 2017, after completing my master’s degree in Chemical Engineering. My PhD project was about developing a safe and novel technology for methane capture from the mining industry.

 

Currently, I am working as a Hydrogen Postdoctoral Research Associate at the University of Newcastle. Hydrogen has wide flammability and explosion ranges with low ignition energy, so it ignites and explodes easily when the burning condition is satisfied. Hydrogen explosion is one of the industrial safety concerns. There is a lack of understanding regarding the energy and mechanism of hydrogen ignition in different conditions and scales. My project is concerned with hydrogen explosion and developing a deeper understanding of mechanisms that lead to the most severe type of explosion known as detonation. I am passionate about innovative technologies in the field of carbon capture and hydrogen safety.
